At the start of 2021, I began exploring the Island of Singapore with a film camera in hand. I chose to use film in hope that the ‘slower’ medium would change how I interacted with my surroundings.

During the time I spent roaming around Singapore, I encountered many local artisans across different generations in various places, nestled within hidden alleyways and heartland estates around Singapore. Each of them born and bred in this land with stories of their own to tell.

The story of each artisan is showcased through a collection of photos, along with a one-page feature story. You’ll also find captions along the way that bring you deeper into their stories.
