An excerpt from JOURNEY:
“Take a walk along the streets of Tiong Bahru and you will find alleyways lined with quaint shops that bring you back in time. One such shop belongs to Mr and Mrs Tay, who specialise in repairing and restoring cushions for cars, ships as well as household furniture. Their shop opened in 1969 and has been there ever since. His workspace is full of character and charm. At the store-front, Mr Tay was beginning his restoration work on a vintage wooden chair. Lined up beside him, and around the shop, were his array of tools.”
